April 22 is Earth Day, a time when we pause to honor the best home of all — Mother Earth! Here are a few ways you and your family can celebrate.

  1. Plant A Tree

It might seem a little silly or stereotypical, but planting trees really does help our environment. Check out Tree Fresno for some volunteer opportunities.

  1. Pick Up Trash

Sometimes, people don’t clean up after themselves. If you see a piece of trash or something that needs to be recycled while you’re out and about, pick it up and throw it into a nearby trashcan.

  1. Feed the Birds

Do you ever think about how hard life would be without grocery stores? That’s a life that birds live every day! Make their lives easier by putting out bird feeders, so they always have somewhere to rest and snack. You can also make this a fun family activity and decorate the bird feeder with your little ones.

  1. Earth Day Events

If you’re looking for something a little more “plug and play,” why not attend one of the many Earth Day events that go on in Fresno? Check out the Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s Party for the Planet! https://www.facebook.com/events/1513613108749612/ Take the kids and learn about recycling, endangered species and more while you celebrate the planet!

  1. (Recycled) Arts and Crafts!

If you’re looking for something a little more creative, try some arts and crafts with recycled materials. Check out this awesome Pinterest Board full of ideas!

The best part is that you can do most of these activities all year-round, not just on Earth Day, and do your part to help keep the planet healthy for everyone.

How do we do our part? We’re glad you asked! Bonadelle Neighborhoods offers eco-logical green products in our homes for sustainable living and to help take care of the planet. If you’re looking for a green living option, give us a call.
